Funkalates is by far the best fitness class I have ever done.
I have given most a try over the years but found I was all to often clock-watching and wishing the sessions away. Not so with Funkalates.
Leroy has boundless energy and enthusiasm and fun but challenging exercises, tailored to all abilities, plus an unlifting soundtrack make for a great combination.When you add this to the promise of burning up to 750 calories in 45 minutes – what more can you ask for?
I can already see the difference in my body shape after just a few weeks.

My first Funkalates class was amazing! The exercises are unique, work all over body and work muscles I never knew I had. I’m happy to say that you have boundless enthusiasm and patience and that everyone enjoys your class. You always give us a variety of different activities and the time flies by. You get us to do more than we thought we ever could! That’s saying a lot since we are nearly all over 60. Hi LeroyI told you I’d do one eventually!I’ve been going to Leroy’s Funkalates class for a few months now and I’m really enjoying it. Leroy talked me into coming into a class and I wasn’t entirely sure to start with as I had no idea what to expect and I’ve never been a fan of group exercise, but now I’m glad I did!I enjoy the mix of aerobic exercise and the calmer balance and stretching exercises, it’s like two classes in one! I also really appreciate the options he gives to the class to fit with our differing abilities and I’m making my way towards the more difficult ones now.You can never get bored with Funkalates. I go to the class most weeks and there’s always something new to tackle and a new muscle to find. I’ve even found myself practising some of the balances at home – brushing your teeth is far more fun when you’re trying to balance on one leg!See you Monday!
BSc (Hons) Modern Languages and Translation Studies: GermanI started Funkalates 6 weeks ago and I’ve found it a completely innovative exercise experience. I’ve never really enjoyed Pilates itself but this is very different, drawing on lots of other exercise disciplines including aerobics, street dance and some self defence moves. The result is a “groovy” Pliates class giving you a total body workout. I like to consider myself pretty fit but this workout is challenging and leaves me aching ( in a good way) for several days after. There are several levels for each exercise so you can increase the intensity as you improve.Leroy helps every participant individually and is a very attentive and inspirational teacher.Kate“My first Funkalates class was amazing! Funkalates is a fantastic workout! Incorporating an all over body work out to achieve great body tone and deep core stability very quickly. After many years of recovering from ME/CFS (Chronic Fatigue Syndrome) I am know able to take part in this form of workout. You can adapt the exercises to level that is best for you with the positive encouragement from Leroy. Thank you so much for making me feel so good towards exercise again!

helped me reach my target in just a few weeks: tone up, lose a little bit of
weight and strenghten my whole body. I even managed get an “apercu” of my 6
pack recently! I don’t usually attend any classes at the gym except this
one. It really worth trying, so ladies if you want to feel good and look
good, go for it! FUNKALATES c’est GENIAL! 😀
